- Construct a left-turn lane (for both east and westbound traffic) on Hwy 23 at CR 1, northeast of Raymond
Svea
- Construct a left-turn lane (for both north and southbound traffic) at the intersection of Hwy 71 and CR 3 near Svea
Traffic impacts
Raymond
A detour will be in place for the duration of the project.
- Vehicles – Hwy 23 to CR 5 to CR 3 to 135th St. to Hwy 23
- Trucks – Hwy 23 to CR 5 to Hwy 7 to Hwy 23
Svea
A detour will be in place for the duration of the project.
- Hwy 71 to Hwy 23 to CR 5 to Hwy 7 to Hwy 71
Project updates
April 28, 2025
- Traffic control and erosion control measures were installed at both locations
- Milling operations (removing top portion of pavement) have begun at Svea location
- Culvert installations and shoulder reclamation have started at Svea
- Existing concrete under the roadway, and drain pipes were removed at Svea
- Work is beginning at the Raymond location
